ICE, PORT-A-POTTIES AND GRAY WATER

The camporee staff will have bags of ice for sale beginning Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. Ice may be purchased for $2 per bag.  The Council Camporee will provide port-a-potties throughout the camporee site and gray water disposal stations near the overnight camping area. Units are not to dig their own latrines and sumps.

EMERGENCY PLANS

The Last Frontier Council has partnered with various emergency management organizations in case the need arise for emergency response during the camporee. In case of a severe emergency, the Oklahoma County Emergency Management Service will command the management of the camporee supported by the American Red Cross, the Oklahoma County Sheriff Department, The Oklahoma Publishing Company staff and the Last Frontier Council staff.

In case of severe inclement weather, it may be necessary to postpone or abbreviate the camporee. Stay tuned to this communication and your commissioner staff for notification. Moderate rainfall alone will not cancel the event.

ATTENDANCE NUMBERS AND REGISTRATION

Almost 4,000 people have registered to attend the 2009 Council Camporee! To ensure efficient campsite planning, program planning, short lines and plenty of materials, please register as soon as possible. If you have already registered, amend and verify your number of registrants as soon as possible. The on-time registration period ends on
